Dear

As we hear more in the press about how and when our country begins to reopen, I wanted to reassure you that we continue to directly engage with the ministers and officials at the heart of Government, as they form the plans around reopening conditions & timescales and ongoing support that is needed for our sector. You will have heard today, reports in the media around the Prime Minister's aim to simplify the rules surrounding an effective reopening of pubs. We are encouraged by this approach, which will hopefully remove some of the most damaging and limiting restrictions when we are able to reopen.

We have continually shared the financial realities of your businesses throughout the pandemic and how you have been specifically affected by the increased restrictions placed on our sector. Equally, we have shared the evidence of the successful and safe reopening that many of you were able to deliver so well last summer.

Ahead of the Prime Minister's announcement on the reopening plans and the Chancellor's budget, we are partnering again with other key trade bodies, UKH and BBPA, to provide the most up-to-date insight to Government at this critical stage, as decisions are being made around the future of hospitality and your individual businesses.

We hope that you can lend your voice to this process by taking part in this industry wide survey, representing pubs and the many issues you face; whilst currently closed, reopening and supporting your recovery into the future.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for such a positive response to our own support survey, which the team are working through at the moment, ensuring we can continue to provide you with the highest quality level of support as you reopen and recover your businesses.

The team here at the BII as well as the partners who help us to support you,  really appreciate the time you took give us your feedback, much of which was extremely positive. We will shortly be providing you with full details of those results and will be using them in the coming weeks and months to further strengthen and build on that support.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort in contributing to this latest survey, which will allow us to continue to take your voices to Government and will allow them to see the reality around what will be needed to ensure the survival and recovery of our Great British pubs.
